A major outage at the Sydney data centre which hosts our website caused our site (and many others) to be down all day Monday 22/9 through to the evening of Wednesday 24/9. Please accept our apologies if you were unable to access our site during this incident.
The data centre technical team identified the issue on Monday morning and it took them three full days to restore our service. We are continuing to monitor the situation as the engineering team completes its post-mortem review of the incident, but at this stage there is no indication of a cyber attack or of any risk of customer data being compromised
This will not happen again. We have selected an alternative hosting provider who we are confident will provide a more stable platform and much more proactive service in the event of any future incidents. The migration of our site to the new hosting provider should be seamless to our customers.
